Saturday, September 26th 9pm EST/6pm PST. 32 laps at Nurburgring GP. Qualifying will start PROMPTLY at 9pm. If you are late enough that you cannot join qual, you will not be joining the race either.
Race conditions: Race date will be Sept. 26th, 2015. Race time is 11:00am fixed. Weather will be Light Cloud fixed.
Let's everyone try to keep at least 2 tires on the track through the ess at the end of the track. I know the game has very loose boundaries right there, seems to let you just blow right over the off-track paved area without any penalty. At least make the effort to stay on the track through that section, please.
I will try to start filling the party at 8:50pm. At least once during the week before the race I will try to host a 2+ hour long practice session that is open to anyone to join and leave whenever they like.
Please reply below if you are sure to be there. If you participated in either of the previous races, then you must use the same car in this race that you did for the those, and must for all future races. If you have not raced with us in this series yet, then you may use any GT3 car besides the BMW M3.
Remember:
There have been several new games and DLC released unrelated to PCars that a lot of people have been enjoying lately. Before you start this session, I STRONGLY recommend everyone reset their Modem and Router, and also do a hard reset/clear cache on their xbox before loading Project Cars. This will eliminate as much as possible all game glitching, jumpiness, and generally poor gameplay before you experience these problems once you join the online session. It takes maybe 5 minutes to do, and will ensure the best possible connection and gameplay on your end. There's really no reason not to do everything in your power to prevent these problems before they even become problems.
We will be using skype this weekend. MSG me in game or over the forums with your skype ID if you haven't done so yet. Once I have your Skype Id, you must accept the contact request that I will send to you so that everything is ready to pick up and go on Saturday.
Download Skype! We will not be using Live chat or Game chat.
Race rules:
Due to a bug apparently affecting only Nurburgring GP, Tire wear and Damage will both be turned OFF for this race. The bug affects whoever is assigned the last pit stall causing that person's pit to not happen and the driver to be stuck until the end of the session.
Fuel Usage will still be real and Mechanical Failures & Penalties will still be turned on. All cars have the capacity to carry enough fuel for the entire duration of this race without refueling.
--Penalties will be back on. So far as I've been able to tell, cut track warnings that count towards disqualification only happen when you try to power your way through when going off the track. If you run off and slow yourself then come back to the track reasonably close to where you went off, I have not yet seen that count towards a Cut Track Warning. I don't know how that works in multiplayer though with the 5-10 seconds delays. If anyone has info on how that's changed, please share.
So far we've had well over 20 people race with us at least once, and there are several people who've voiced interest in joining us as well. Remember, If you've raced with us before and you RSVP up until ~2 hours before race time, you will be guaranteed a spot. If you have not raced with us before, you will be guaranteed a spot if you RSVP in this thread unless a number of racers who've already joined us fill the available slots. Even if you have raced with us before, if you do not RSVP before the 2 hour window prior to race start and the race is full including new members, you will not be able to join this race. Please let me know as soon as possible if you will be for-sure joining us, and if you do need to back out after confirming your spot, please just let me know. Organization is getting to be a challenge with how many people have joined, and the more information people share with me, the easier it makes the task.
See you all Saturday!
