Hello All,
So coming to an end of the NACRA GT3 series being ran on here by Optical (BTW: Awesome job). Have entered myself in a few other leagues/events to test my skills and mainly to take notes on what others are doing for event/league setups. Long story short- setup my own site/board - wrote up the details - and left it at that. Think it may be a better idea to host it here and use the member base we have so my thinking behind this thread is to gauge interest in a new league/series:
Date:
Will be the actual day we are racing. To start, weather will be set to light cloud. Per Doc, I do want to use the real-time forecast for the location of the track; I can see this being an issue at the moment due to the auto by weather tire bug in the pits. I.E. Light rain needing inters and having full wets put on the car. Once sorted races will be moved to real-time forecast; will check the weather 5 days in advance to give everyone a chance to tune/test.
Pit-Stops:
Mandatory 1 stop for tiers during 24 Hr races.
No mandatory pits for Race Day events.
Regulations:
No forced view
Driving Assists: Real
Damage: Performance impacting
Mechanical Failures: Yes
Tire Wear: Real
Fuel Usage: Real
Flags & Penalties: On

You have made it this far...congratulations!
Okay here we go, please don't be deterred or hate me for saying this: I really want people to think to themselves before signing up; will I really spend the time to practice, learn the track, tune, improve, test, etc to make myself competitive? I know it says CASUAL in the title to our website but what I don't want is this idea to turn into peoples once a week PC fix. Not saying you need to be putting down WR/top 10 times on track or be on all week every night practicing, just do your due diligence. I think having people practicing more during the week would help out a lot with organizing the races and better the overall racing atmosphere i.e. people actually know track limits and don't have to here that all race in skype. And also, if you find yourself slower during the week don't hesitate to ask for help, all the fast guys in here are more then willing to share tunes, help with lines, and find the perfect braking point. We are all here to help each other.
All in all, just ask yourself if your willing to put in the time. Don't be deterred by me writing this as we are all more then willing to help others get faster.
*I will update this section once we have confirmed drivers and the class is settled.

Car Class
This will be a multi-class championship with the "base" classes being:
Class One: LMP1
Class Two: GT3
*I'm writing this and thinking of myself, I like WEC, and thats WEC classes. WE CAN DECIDE ON ANOTHER CLASS TO RACE. Think of this as the "base" car class. Dopey has mentioned a LMP2/GT3 combo but I am also open to ideas.
Race Types:
I will explain it more below but we will have two types of races: 24Hr and Race Day events. 24Hr races will be ran in the base class, i.e. LMP1/GT3. Race Day events will be a little different. I have broken these events into two races each being 30-45 minutes in length. Race 1 will be in the car/class combo voted on during the week by members. Race 2 will be in the base class. Example: Next race is a "Race Day" event, I post a vote thread for 5 different cars, league members vote on there preferred car, vote and car is finalized mid-week, First race in the event will be in the voted car and second race will be in the base class. Points from each race will count.
Thinking behind this is for us to try other cars/classes out. While we still have a our base car we signed up with and will compete in but we still have to ability to try other cars and such. And I think it will be fun.
There will be two types of races:
10 "Race Day" Events
6 "24Hr" Events
24 Hr Events:
6 x 24 Hr Events
1 x 30 Minute Qualifying session
1 x 1.5 HR - 2 HR Race.
Will start at 12:00 pm with time progression set to simulate one day/night cycle.
Race will start with a parade lap to settle in/warm tires/ test wheels. Nothing over 100 mph during the out-lap. Coming into sector 3 on each track pole will call out "Slow", 60 mph speed limit in place forming into 2x2 - Odds on left - Even on right, when pole crosses START/FINISH he will call "Green, Green, Green" and race begins. i.e. I start 16th, pole calls "Green, Green, Green", race begins no matter my position on track.

Race Day Events:

2 x 15 Minute Qualifying session
2 x 30-45 minute races.
Race 1 will be in the voted car/class for the week.
Race 2 will be in the base car class.
First race will start at 10:00 am and the second race starting at 3:00 pm game time. Time progression set to 10x.
Races will start with a parade lap to settle in/warm tires/ test wheels. Nothing over 100 mph during out-lap.
