Saw a mention of you guys over on the PCars forum (thanks OpticalHercules) and thought I'd sign up, drop by and say hi.
I have played a few racing games but I don't have the depth of experience that a lot of folks do. I started with Forza 3 and loved it but then my XBox died and I never got to play FM4. I got the XB1 last Christmas and started playing FM5. I found it okay but a lot of things annoyed me about that game. I found out about Project CARS and that sounded like what I was looking for. Been playing it since it came out and I'm really loving the game when it's good but it frustrates the hell out of me when it isn't. I suppose a lot of people feel that way about it. It's going to be a hell of a game one of these days. I've mostly been practicing and playing career mode while waiting for some of the issues to be worked out. I do hope to play some MP when that happens. I live in Colorado so my playing time should overlap with both east and west coasters at least somewhat.
For the record, I'm pretty average but trying to get better. I do try to play clean and if I run you off the track, it wasn't intentional. I play on the XB1, as mentioned, with a Thrustmaster TX wheel. One thing I've got reasonably well sussed out is the seemingly complex FFB system. It's actually not as complicated as it appears at first. But if you guys have any questions about how it works, I'm willing to at least give it a shot. I don't know everything there is to know but I have a good idea of how the system is put together.
Looking forward to getting to know you and hopefully racing online at some point.
ps, my username is my gamertag so feel free to add me if you like.
